I don’t really know how to start this blog post.
This week, we read about a boy named Greg who really just wants to have a chill senior year. However, when his mother forces a friendship upon him, he soon finds himself entertaining a sick girl. In the novel, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl written by Jesse Andrews, we explore how uncomfortable situations can be when we really don’t want to be involved.
It’s a fun story that takes an interesting perspective on sickness and friendship – you should really read the book.
I don’t know how to finish this blog post either.
How about a question – how do you deal with uncomfortable situations? Whether it’s laughter, shutting out the world, or keeping busy doing other things, we all have a different coping mechanism.
